1838 First Vines Shiraz, a celebration of the first vines planted in McLaren Vale, in the year 1838.

Doc Adams would like to celebrate and honour those who had the vision for our viticultural heritage, and we pay respect with this inaugral and traditional wine.

At Doc Adams, our values are based on meticulous viticulture, and minimal handling of our ultra premium fruit, because sensational grapes make sensational wine. These grapes are sourced from premium 100+ year old McLaren Vale Shiraz vines.

McLaren Vale has a Mediterranean climate. Bordered by the Sellicks Hill ranges and Gulf St. Vincent which typically produces small Shiraz berries giving rise to an intensly flavoured wine.

The 1838 Premium icon Shiraz is 'big, rich and robust'. It's black in colour which typifies the wine comes from very old vines. On the nose, initital aromas present sweet coconut oak, following through with intense flavours of dark coffee and smoky charcoal hues combined with concentrated berries. The powerful flavours dance along the palate for a memorable indulgence!

The 1838 Shiraz is a fantastic addition to our portfolio of premium wines.

Pricing for this premium icon wine sees itself at $48 a bottle, and $260 for a 6 pack.

This wine is a real winner, as it is an exceptional drink now, but will also be a fabulous investment piece, as it will do very well with 2-20 years cellaring.
